David Lindsay is a visual artist, poet, writer, and independent curator based in New York. His multidisciplinary practice explores the intersection of the human body and written language, examining language as a visceral, embodied experience. A central focus is the relationship between furniture and the alphabet, questioning the boundaries between the textual, material, sculptural, and linguistic.
During his residency at PART, David Lindsay is developing a new body of work for an upcoming exhibition in Vienna while engaging with the local art scene through studio visits, gallery encounters, and exchanges with art professionals.
PART International Art Residency Austria is a programme on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Housing, Arts, Culture, Media and Sport. Refurbished to meet modern ecological standards between 2023 and 2025 with funding from the EU Recovery and Resilience Facility and the Austrian Federal Government, the area currently houses 13 studios for local artists and six international residence studios and THE HALL.

We are directly opposite of the Ernst-Happel--Stadion, enter through the green gate of "Bildhauergebäude des Bundes" -> THE HALL is inside PART (right door after the stairs, behind the pillars)
