Alya Segal, a current curator in residence at PART, presents the exhibition Temporary Heaven, in her studio, transforming it for two weeks into a fragile and provisional model of paradise. It features mostly Ukrainian artists, unfolding through intimate spatial constellations where heaven appears not as a promise, but as a temporary condition shaped by loss, displacement, and survival.
The artworks trace multiple, often conflicting imaginaries of paradise: as refuge, illusion, afterimage, and constructed space. Situated between domesticity and instability, Temporary Heaven asks what forms of “paradise” remain possible in a world marked by ongoing violence and forced movement.
