Karolina Jabłońska (PL)

Feburary - May 2026

Karolina Jabłońska (b. 1991, Poland) lives and works in Kraków. In her main medium, painting, she often depicts everyday situations that capture the awkwardness of certain common activities. In Karolina's practice, the paintings come from small sensory and emotional impressions. Yet, the personal is also political: metaphors for emotional states, inherent in these paintings, are references to the role of women, the existential threat to their bodies and restrictions imposed by political realities.

At PART, she would like to learn about the Austrian art scene, connect with local artists and curators, and develop paths for possible future cooperations. PART, as a new environment, has the potential to offer a fresh perspective and bring inspiring ideas for a new series of paintings.

The artist has been suggested by Adam Budak, Director of MOCAK Museum of Contemporary Art in Kraków.
