Lorena Juan is artistic director of the Biennale für Freiburg. She was exhibition curator at transmediale (2020–24) andco-curator of the nGbK public art programme Kunst im Untergrund (2019–24).She founded COVEN BERLIN, a queer art collective devoted to collective healing,embodied research, and humor in confronting systemic violence. Holdingadoctorate from Salamanca University, she lectures on art, media, and gender.

During the residency at PART, shewill engage with Vienna’s institutional, grassroots, and diasporic culturalecologies —visiting artist studios, independent spaces, archives, and communityinitiatives. She aims to listen, document, and weave these local narrativesinto a broader circuitry of exchange. Concerned by an increasingly polarisedglobal climate, she’s interested in exploring modes of collaboration and carewithin post migrant, decolonial discourses.
