Zsófia Szonja Illés (b. 1980) is a multidisciplinary artist and designerwith an environ- mentally and socially engaged practice. She is a landresearcher at IASK (Kőszeg, Hungary) and at the Moholy-Nagy University ofDesign in Budapest, where she is currently completing her PhD in artisticresearch, exploring the potential of artistic and sensory methods towardsunderstanding and communicating tacit and local ecological knowledge on floodlandscapes.

At PART, Zsófia will continue herresearch across art, design and architecture to create work that is sociallyand environmentally driven.
